Series: “Dictators with their Philosophers 2/3”

The work undertakes the task of exposing  the collapse of Russian Realism at the hands of the dictatorship that took the media as a tool through the interpretation of the famous photograph of Stalin and Gorky(Red Square, 1931).

On the opposite hills behind the stage, we see the intellectual teachers of both characters, Lenin and Tolstoy. The composition reflects dramatic historical unity as well as containing dualism.
