Schopenhauer was a outcast more than a philosopher, he can not prove yourself really to academie as a serious thinker. All of his aim was contributed by his pessimism which fed from a free mind in a  literally polluted world. He was aware of the world was veiled. It was already covered when human first see it. Our eyes were the veil which humanity always searched to remove. Perception was a threat but mind was also too, mind continuously simulate the world and create personal representation for each of us. So, conscience had no choice to find the reality above all representations, except let itself to "Will" which means unidentifiable, incomprehensible  unrepresentable order/way of being. This painting aims to show you the real Schopenhauer who would not step back from his truth with a smiling face if he would be seen as a mad clown too. He was screaming the truth to history. As humanity, all of we have done was dancing, fighting, sexing to create hills from bodies through history like it was just a deadly Dionysos's festival. But after all tragedies, there is a only one conclusion that an individual can rely on; "Die welt ist meine vorstellung."(The world is my representation.), Die Welt als Wille und Vorstellung, Arthur Schopenhauer.
